1:30pm - 2:45pm The Agency of the Future: A View of the Independent Insurance
Agency 10 Years from Now

Roger Sitkins, Chairman & Founder, Sitkins International

Independent insurance agents will face more change in the near future than ever before. Those who adapt will see unparalleled success. Those who keep operating “the old way,” may not survive. In this session, Roger will share his strategies for agency growth in a changing marketplace. Learn how to separate yourself from competitors, deal with your carriers, achieve operational efficiencies and scale, and increase your agency value.

In 1980, Roger began his consulting/advising career.  As a gifted communicator and an expert in the strategies of performance improvement, he traveled the country showing agencies/brokerages exactly how focusing on the basics would bring them greater success and a better life.  The power of that knowledge was quickly recognized and Roger became a frequent speaker at conventions around the country.

Roger and his firm have helped more than 2,000 independent insurance agencies/brokerages build their dream businesses while reducing workload.  As a result of all these experiences and his voracious appetite for increased knowledge, Roger invented The Vertical Growth ExperienceTM.  This is a series of strategies in the areas of sales, sales management, senior management, account management and business development.

Roger’s conviction to long-term relationships with his best clients prompted him to establish The Sitkins 100TM, and eventually Sitkins International.  This is an exclusive network of high-performance, non-competing agencies/brokerages and are the only agencies/brokerages that have access to The Vertical Growth ExperienceTM training programs.

Michael T. Medford - Panel Counsel for SwissRe/Westport

The threat of a data breach is becoming a fact of life for businesses – and it is not just affecting the big boys like Target.  Join us for a discussion of this very real threat to both our insureds and to our agencies.  From real-life data breach claims to technology solutions to help prevent them to the current markets for Cyberliability coverage; we will explore this rapidly growing exposure that affects us all.  We will also look at the North Carolina privacy laws that dictate what types of customer information must be protected and what steps the agency must take if this information is improperly disclosed.
