   for the annual convention golf outing.  This 18-hole course was designed by Arthur Hills

 Classes with Bill Wilson
 
 
   Bill is the director of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America’s  
   Virtual University and has conducted hundreds of technical seminars, workshops
   and convention presentations.  From Hawaii to Rhode Island - he has delivered
   programs on time management, presentation and public speaking skills, seminar 
   development, and many others.  He was the recipient of the 1996 L.P. McCord
   National Education Award for having the #1 ranked IIABA insurance education
   program in America.  His "Presentation Skills for the 'Unprofessional' Speaker"
   program presented at the 1997 National CPCU Society convention was the top rated
   of 
27 presentations, including those of nationally renowned speakers and celebrities. 
   In 1998, his program was again the top rated session of the CPCU national convention.
 
   Bill has been cited as an expert resource/interviewee for local television and radio
   media, and has served as an expert witness in litigation.  According to Nashville NBC
   television affiliate WSMV, "Bill Wilson is an expert when it comes to insurance."  Dr.
   William T. Hold, president of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors in Austin, 
   Texas has said that, "Bill Wilson is recognized by his peers as one of the premier
   insurance educators in America."

 Team Building Activites
 
 
   The Olympics were held in February but we are going to keep the spirit of competition
   alive in Rhode Island in May!  On Wednesday, May 28, we will begin the competition at
   4:30 with teams of two who will compete in various events including bean bag toss, 
   bocce, horseshoes, minute-to-win-it, obstacle course, puzzles, trivia, and yard yahtzee
.  
   Be sure to enter the team building activities when you register.  You can register
   individually or as a team – just be sure to bring your energy and enthusiasm as this is
   meant to be fun!  Pick two activities you want to compete in and you’re in.  Awards will
   be presented to the winners of each activity.

 New England Clambake
 
 
   After the Team Building Activities, we continue Wednesday’s festivities with a feast NOT
   TO BE MISSED!   The Hyatt Regency Newport’s Award Winning New England Clambake
   will take place under the pavilion overlooking Narragansett Bay.  Enjoy the view of the
   Newport Bridge and a breath-taking sunset.  The outstanding menu includes: clam
   chowder, steamed lobster, fried chicken, steak, potatoes, steamers, mussels, and corn
   on the cob.  If you’re on a diet just remember that a day of indulgence is really just a
   minor setback – you can recover tomorrow!

   do you do!? 
   The social media channels possibilities are endless but how can you support your

 2014 Gubernatorial Panel

 Ken Block, Allan Fung, Todd Giroux, Clay Pell, Gina Raimondo and Angel Taveras have accepted our invitation to speak!  
 
   IIARI has invited all six candidates for Governor to participate in a panel on Thursday,
   May 29.  Ken Block, Allan Fung, Todd Giroux, Clay Pell, Gina Raimondo and Angel
   Taveras
will each present what their platform and what their plans are to help Rhode
   Island’s economy and business climate.  Please note: THIS IS NOT A DEBATE.  As we
   have limited time for this session, we will not debate issues among the candidates but
   should time permit, we may be able to take some questions from the floor.  This will be
   a unique experience for all attendees!
