Part I – Medicare Learning Network - Agents seeking to operate in federally facilitated health insurance marketplaces (exchanges) must register and successfully complete training with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The CMS online registration and training process is now open on the CMS Medicare Learning Network (MLN) site.
Part II – CMS Enterprise Portal - After agents successfully complete the registration, trainings, and examinations on the MLN site, they must undergo a remote identity proofing process. To complete this proofing, visit and register with the CMS Enterprise Portal. Note: there may be a delay of up to 48 hours for registration and exam results to migrate from the MLN site to the Enterprise Porta
The Affordable Care Act requires employers who are subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act to notify current employees about coverage options available through state and federal exchanges by October 1, 2013. Employers must notify all employees, regardless of plan enrollment status (if applicable) or whether they are part time or full time.
